A collection of all of my rants and ramblings about the television shows I watch and the people who make them. There will also be the occasional post about my life. =D

Community Rewatch- 3x19, 3x20, 3x21, & 3x22

We made it, friends! We're finally at the end of the Community Rewatch! Here are the final four episodes of the third season as well as the show's history- so far!- and I made it before I left for vacation! Woo hoo!! So I'll be back on the twelfth, but until then, happy blogging and see you all later! Alright, Community fans, let's finish this!

3x19- Curriculum Unavailable

Episode Rundown- This is the second fake clip show of Community's history and it is equally as perfect as the first one. Abed believes that the Dean has been kidnapped and is being held hostage at Greendale, but everyone thinks he's delusional and they bring him to a therapist. Britta gets tips and pointers from him the entire time, as per the usual. They then bring up all of the things that happened that year that we never saw and since the adventures are all absolutely insane- such as Annie protesting when Troy drives a four-wheeler into the study room and his response is, "It's all-terrain, dummy!"- the therapist thinks they're crazy. He then tells them Greendale doesn't exist and that they're all patients in a mental ward, as pictured above. Eventually, they all realize Abed's right and leave therapy a cured group. Awww! The end tag is another segment of Troy and Abed in the Morning, except this time it's at night. And it's absolutely hilarious!

What Was Great
~ Everything. Absolutely everything.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Rating
A perfect ten, wouldn't you say? ;)

3x20- Digital Estate Planning

Episode Rundown- The video game episode <3!! This episode is so freaking awesome. So Pierce and the gang are invited to this very futuristic-looking building to play what they think is a harmless video game. Whilst in the game, however- and yes, I just used the word "whilst"- they discover that the man who invited them there is Pierce's half-brother and they're all competing for Pierce's inheritance! Gassssspppp!! So they play through the game- Abed falls in love with a computerized woman named Hilda, Britta makes a "super strength" potion, which is actually poison, and Annie and Shirley axe two people to death and then set their house on fire. All in all, it's an absolutely hysterical episode and the tag is also great- Troy and Abed finding a baby on the study room table and trying to figure out how they're going to raise it. So, so them. <3

What Was Great
~ Everything is fabulous and nothing hurts. =P

What Wasn't So Great
~ Zip! Nada! Nothing!

Rating
A well-deserved ten out of ten. =D

3x21- The First Chang Dynasty

Episode Rundown- "Chang eats the sun and drinks the skies and they both go with him when he diesssss..." Guess what? This an episode centered around Chang and I didn't hate it. I know; I was as shocked as you are. =P So the group doesn't know what to do with themselves because they're all out of school and such, but Abed still firmly believes that they need to save the Dean, so the plan an "elaborate heist" and this is where the Ocean's Eleven theme comes in. Everyone plays an important role in the heist- even Pierce, who we would think would ruin things... Which he does, but it's all part of the plan. ;) The Dean is saved, Chang's power is diminished, and everyone's happy again yayyy! Plus, the Greendale Seven are reinstated as students and their records are cleared. How's that for a happy ending? =P Then, in the tag, the Dean is at the rave covered in glow paint. Yeah.

What Was Great
~ Everything. The whole "elaborate heist" was well planned out and absolute perfection.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Psh, nothing y'all.

Rating
An elaborate ten out of ten. =D

3x22- Introduction to Finality

Episode Rundown- In the season three finale, Shirley and Pierce have a falling out over the whole sandwich thing and Pierce decides to sue Shirley over it. The entire episode, Jeff is just trying to study for the Biology final, but he can't help but get involved in the court nonsense going on, so he becomes Shirley's lawyer. Britta decides to study Abed for her psych final, but since he's now Evil Abed, he ends up studying her. Then, he goes on to destroy everyone in his path and wants, then, to cut Jeff's arm off with a bone saw. Blegh. Vice Dean Laybourne, meanwhile, is murdered by that creepy guy I've mentioned before and Troy is the truest repairman. ;) The episode ends so beautifully I cannot even fathom it. Jeff makes the most amazing speech- like, legit better than "Sharks, Pencils, Ben Affleck"- and there's a music montage with the group moving on with their lives and so much is revealed- Troy and Abed take down the Dreamatorium, Jeff is looking for his father, and- gasp!- Starburns is alive!! Then the screen flashes white and reads only one thing- #sixseasonsandamovie. Not gonna lie, I teared up. But the tag made it go away- Leonard, on his YouTube channel, reviewing Let's potato chips. Lol love that guy.

What Was Great
~ The whole damn thing. This episode was so beautiful, I can't even handle it.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Are you kidding? Nothing!

Rating
A ten. Beautiful, perfect, fantastic ten out of ten. =D

And that's it, folks! I'm sure the fourth season will be chock full of rants, since Dan Harmon's gone and all. So stick around and stay tuned! Bye for now!

Community Rewatch- 3x16, 3x17, & 3x18

Hi there bloggers! It's the day before vacation and I have seven episodes to get through before the end of the third season. I haven't even packed yet and we're leaving tomorrow morning haha. It's all good- I'm almost done here! Without further ado, let's move forward!

3x16- Virtual Systems Analysis

Episode Rundown- Everyone seemed to love this episode, but to me it was just... meh. Annie decides to play matchmaker with Troy and Britta, which irritates Abed (and me) when the group gets the afternoon off from Biology. The rest of the group heads off in their own separate directions while Abed and Annie head home and play in the Dreamatorium. There, Abed simulates a bunch of different situations between himself and Annie and among the group. His inner most thoughts and worries are revealed which makes Annie worry for him and she is the one, this time, giving an inspiring Winger speech at the end of the episode. Eventually, they all return to the study room and the day continues. Theeeeeee end! Except for the tag, which is another installment of Troy and Abed in the Morning, this time with Annie as the guest! Great, great times.

What Was Great
~ "Three hour lunch? Three hour lunch? Three hour lunch?" I love when they say things three times haha.
~ "Troy, I know you love that ramp!" "You keep turning left but you end up up!!" LOL.
~ Abed acting as Troy and Britta. So funny. "That meal was dope and legit!" "I don't usually support lunch because it's unfair to breakfast."
~ "Right, I'm stupid." "Not stupid. Just less able to see what I see." Perfect line!
~ Troy's freakout- "I saw Abed's name in a file upstairs. I like butt stuff, I hate spiders. I stole a pen from the bank. I cried during About A Boy... the soundtrack. I don't wash my hands before a surgery. I use comparisons to Hitler to win arguments on the internet at the drop of a hat. I know nothing about wine. I'm more turned on by women in pajamas than lingerie- I just want to know they feel comfortable. I didn't get Inception!! I didn't get Inception!! There's just so many layers..." Brilliant.
~ "But we love Jeff!" "No we don't! We're just in love with the idea of being loved!!" HA. Suck that, shippers.
~ The hysterical tag

What Wasn't So Great
~ The Troy/Britta nonsense. I've already gone off on that tangent, so I'll leave it be.
~ Abed's freakouts. Once more, they're annoying.
~ Chang blegh.

Rating
I would give this episode a seven out of ten. It had its moments that were hilarious, but it was mainly just... eh.
3x17- Basic Lupine Urology

Episode Rundown- This episode's fantastic. It's Law & Order-themed and even though I've never seen that show, I get the gist. Basically, the group's assignment for biology class was to grow a yam (a yam named Pam, according to Troy and Abed), but when they show up to class they find their yam has been smashed. Professor Kane offers them a passing grade, which Annie cannot accept ("What, like a C? Well why don't I just get pregnant at a bus station?!") and instead she and the group act as a forensics team- and a very shoddy one, at that- to discover who killed their yam. Annie and Jeff team up as lead detectives/lawyers in training and lead Todd, their suspect to a tearful admittance even though he wasn't the one who smashed the yam. The real culprit, Fat Neil, is punished and everyone's thrilled! Then a call comes in- a meth lab exploded and Starburns is dead. Nooooo! They lighten things up, though, with the tag- Abed and Troy are going to sleep in the study room and Dean Pelton sings them ridiculous lullabies. Oh goodness...

What Was Great
~ Absolutely everything!!

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing!!

Rating
I would give it a ten out of ten! Fabulous!

3x18- Course Listing Unavailable

Episode Rundown- This episode focuses mainly on the study group after they've lost one of their beloved students... well, kind of. Starburns is dead and the Dean holds a school-wide memorial. Britta takes this event- a.k.a Starburns' death- as a chance to exercise her psychologist powers, or as the cast calls it, "therapizing." Everyone thinks she's the crazy one and they refute her efforts. Meanwhile, at the riot, everyone starts to realize that their school pretty much sucks and they destroy it in a massive riot. Afterwards, Chang and his army of twelve-year-old minions breaks it up and the study group has to sit before the school board, where they're all promptly expelled. Oh shit. Plus, Dean Pelton is kidnapped and kept in the basement under the school and replaced by a Moby look alike. Oh. shit. Then, the tag tells the memorial story of Starburns, as made by Abed. Cuteeeee!

What Was Great
~ "I know it's sad, but death is a natural part of life and by the time I finish this sentence, a hundred people will have died in China." "Why did you stop talking?! I have to call my pen pal!! ... Pai Mei? It's Troy. Are you okay? Okay, good. I have to go. This costs seven dollars!" LOL.
~ "As a psychologist-" "Student." "I hereby offer my licensed-" "Unlicensed." "Assistance as a grief counselor." "Grief causer!" "If anyone needs to talk, the doctor-" "Not even close!" "-is in!" Hahaha!!
~ Britta as Starburns. So funny.
~ "Come on, I'm Dean! And my hands are so clean! At this moment, I am stapling!!" Love. him.
~ "Great. I have to give more bad news to Jeff and his study group. Hold on, I have to pick an outfit... Who wants to dance?" Love this man.
~ "What Jeff's doing right now is called denial and it's the first of five stages of grief that ends in acceptance." "Name any other stage." "What are you, my final?" Love it.
~ "WHEN I SAY GREENDALE, YOU SAY SUCKS!!"
~ "Greendale Seven- Jeff Winger, Annie Edison, Pierce Hawthorne, Britta Perry, Shirley Bennett, Abed Nadir, and Troy Barnes... You are hereby expelled from Greendale Community College. May God have mercy on your souls."

What Wasn't So Great
~ Chang and his army of mini minions. I don't know which one's worse.
~ Garrett singing "Ave Maria." Ugh.
~ The tag was very odd...

Rating
I would give this episode an eight out of ten. Enjoyable, yet not perfect, like the rest of the season.

Stay tuned! My last post of my Community Rewatch will be up momentarily!!

Community Rewatch- 3x13, 3x14, & 3x15

Hello again! On a roll, what did I say? So on to the next three! I have this post plus two others before my vacation on Wednesday. I think I can do it!! Okay, without further delay, onward friends and human beings!

3x13- Digital Exploration of Interior Design

Episode Rundown- This episode is okay. It's not great, but it's a pretty good lead in to the next episode, which is fabulous. So Troy, Annie, and Abed are displaced for an episode because their building is being gassed for termites, so while Annie is lounging in the sleep study lab, Troy and Abed decide to build a pillow fort to live in. However, Troy wants to beat the world record in world's longest blanket fort and the two have a falling out that ends their friendship. Jeff finds out that a student hates him for blackmailing him or making fun of him or something, I don't know. It's a pretty stupid storyline. And Britta has sex with a corporation so she can ruin Subway and Shirley and Pierce can open their sandwich shop. But things get... nasty. Blegh. Anyway, it's Troy against Abed; the whole school is picking sides and the war is on. Cliffhanger! The tag involves  Vice Dean Laybourne discussing Troy's future with the creepy guy who later kills him. Spoiler alert!

What Was Great
~ The flawless Dean- "Wow, did you know Greendale students are all in the Army reserves? Let's say a little prayer for peace."
~ "It's not a blow-off class, Jeff. We're only allowed to bring one stuffed animal. I'm bringing Ruthie, but using her pouch to sneak in Nathan!" Lol Annie, you're great.
~ Britta Unfiltered. So great.
~ Pierce drinking ink. Lol.
~ "Great! Abed will destroy his pillow fort and Troy will expand his blanket fort! Everyone wins! Well except for Abed, but you know, not everyone can win." Lol I laughed so hard at this.
~ "Jeffrey, find me!"
~ Abed saying, "To be continued," at the end of the episode. So cute and so sad!
What Wasn't So Great
~ The Jeff storyline was boring
~ Britta's storyline/romance with Subway freaked me out. And the sex thing was too over the top.
~ Subway was creepy...
~ The tag was meh.

Rating
I would give this episode a seven out of ten. It's meh. I only liked the Troy and Abed portions. The rest kind of sucked.

3x14- Pillows and Blankets

Episode Rundown- Now let's talk about this amazing episode for a second. First of all, it's shot like a war documentary, which is so epic I can't even describe it. Abed and Troy are still fighting each other, except now they're fighting dirty. They're informing their troops of the other's weaknesses and plotting the end of the opposing team. Britta is the designated "war photographer" but can't seem to get any good shots. Typical. Annie is playing nurse- again, typical. Shirley and Pierce quickly pick sides- Shirley goes to Troy while Pierce goes to Abed. And Jeff spends most of the war on his phone before making up some kind of speech about imaginary friendship hats to bring peace and harmony between Troy and Abed again. Aww yay! The tag happens to be Troy and Abed, best buds again, doing a telethon and being freaking hysterical.

What Was Great
~ The entire episode and tag. I cannot even... like it's so perfect.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Um, nothing. Seriously.

Rating
A well-deserved ten out of ten!

3x15- Origins of Vampire Mythology

Episode Rundown- This episode started out great, the middle got a little iffy, and then the end irritated me. The carnival is coming to town, ladies and gents, and with it, comes Britta's jerk-off ex-boyfriend named Blade. Because of this, she asks Annie to keep her on lockdown so she won't call him. Annie goes through with this, but she, Abed, and Troy have to struggle to keep her away from her own phone, as pictured above. In the end, she gets her phone and calls Blade and when Troy responds, as "Blade" in a nice manner, Britta supposedly is done with him, because supposedly "she likes guys who are mean to her." That's actually not true, but I'll get to that later. Meanwhile Pierce becomes best friends with Chang and Shirley and Jeff have another adorable friendship episode where they go to the carnival to get a look at this Blade character. Then Jeff makes an inspiring speech about the need to stop hating ourselves. Aw, group hug! The tag is Abed doing standup to an audience of Troy, Jeff, and Dean Pelton, but only Troy is laughing because Abed's telling inside jokes from their apartment. So so funny.

What Was Great
~ "Best friends, best friends, making a cake!" Cuties <3
~ "Some things are funny because they make no sense, but this is not one of them."
~ "So Britta, you're in love with this guy who's named after a kickboxing vampire movie?" "No, I don't believe in love because of this guy who's named after a kickboxing vampire movie!"
~ Jeff taking off his shirt in the middle of the hallway. I'm never going to complain about Joel McHale shirtless <3
~ "... and handcuff me to the radiator like a motherflipping carnie-banging werewolf!" "I got this! Our apartment has central heating, but I get the idea!"
~ "You don't like our movie, we can't say the word Blade, there's phones in the refrigerator- oops!" His delivery is so good.
~ "I need help reacting to something." It's gold. It's perfect. It's... the title of my blog <3
~ Jeff and Shirley's adorable friendship <3
~ Annie's Blade voice: "Blaaaheeheheughguuuhuuu" and then the other three being a carnival: "Step right up!" "Ding ding ding!" "Get your popcorn here!"
~ The perfect tag <3
What Wasn't So Great
~ Britta's characterization in this episode was soooo far off. Allow me to quote from episode 1x15 Romantic Expressionism: "I'm a girly-girl! I like boys and I don't like it when they're mean to me..." She said it herself. So why is she suddenly turned on by this douche? Yeah. Who knows.
~ Troy suddenly being the hero. Um, his crush on her is so spotty; half the time he's obsessed with her and half the time he insults her like crazy. It's so ridiculous! Not to mention Troy/Britta skeeves me out more than Jeff/Annie. Blegh.
~ Pierce and Chang. They're so annoying. They deserve each other.
~ Blade. Whenever they introduce new characters that don't go to Greendale, I almost never like them. Andre is the only exception. <3

Rating
I'm giving this episode a seven out of ten. It's good, but the characterization changes drove me absolutely insane...

More tomorrow! I'll be finishing the last two posts and final seven episodes! See ya then!

Community Rewatch- 3x10, 3x11, & 3x12

Hey there! So this is the weird post because it contains the Christmas episode and then the two episodes that were aired out of order after Community's unfortunate three-month hiatus. But it's okay because all three are fabulous! Here we go!

3x10- Regional Holiday Music

Episode Rundown- It's Christmas, y'all!! And what better way to celebrate than by sending off the Glee Club at Greendale and filling in for them at the pagaent?! That's what happens in this episode, anyway. Taran Killam guest stars as Glee Club advisor Mr. Rad as he gets the study group involved, one by one starting with Abed, in the Christmas pageant. The two sing a song about glee (As Troy says, "Glee literally means... glee!!") and then Abed and Troy rap about how fabulous Christmas is. The next day they get Pierce involved with a song about "Baby Boomer Santa" and later Annie gets Jeff involved in a "Santa Baby"-esque "Teach Me How to Understand Christmas." Eventually, they're all in and then Mr. Rad tells Abed that this isn't just for Christmas, it's for life. So Abed pulls the plug and sends Britta, who's an awful singer to ruin the pageant. She does, the group sings "The First Noel," and then gather to watch a Christmas special. The end!! The tag is "Carol of the Bells" as performed by Dean Pelton, Chang, Magnitude, Starburns, and Leonard. It's awesome.

What Was Great
~ Everything! I love musicals but I hate Glee, so watching the Community cast sing songs making fun of Glee was absolutely amazing.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Zip-ola. Legit nothing. Loved it all.

Rating
A Christmas spectacular ten out of ten!

3x11- Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts

Episode Rundown- The episode after the hiatus was great. Andre comes into the cafeteria with Boys II Men, I think, to propose re-marriage to Shirley, who gratefully accepts. Jeff and Britta badmouth marriage all episode and then end up drunkenly almost married for the second time in the show's running. It turns out Britta's really good at wedding planning and she and Annie plan the entire small wedding in their study room and it's lovely. Abed and Troy are on a "being normal" kick and spend the whole time anti-Troy and Abed. And Shirley and Pierce decide to be business partners and open up a sandwich shop in the cafeteria in the space that used to be the coffee shop Hot and Brown. There are some complications, though!! Anyway, Shirley and Andre get married and everyone's happy! Yay! The end tag involves Pierce having a soft serve ice cream nightmare... Hilarious!

What Was Great
~ "Pierce, why do you look like a wealthy murderer?" Thank you, Troy, for asking what I too was wondering.
~ "Someone tell Britta what an analogy is." "I know what it is! It's like a thought with another thought's hat on."
~ "Just nut up and die alone!" Charming, Winger.
~ Abed- "Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! Ugh! That's the noise that people make when they're offended in all the movies Annie rents." LOL.
~ "I'm feeling normal already!! ... Crab walk home?!" Hahaha yes, that's so normal...
~ Shirley laughing hysterically and then the screen passing and saying "Literally two full minutes later." So great.
~ Britta being awesome at floral arrangements- "We'll use this one and this one and how about this one and then just throw a ribbon on it." Lol.
~ Annie humming "Daybreak." Fabulous!
~ "This may shock you, Annie, but I come from a long line of wives and mothers." "... Many do..."
~ Normal Troy and Abed!
~ "I promise to put your dreams before mine!" "I promise to bottle up my repulsion at the sight of your hair in the drain." "I promise not to earn more than 70% of what you'd make at the same job!" "What about babies?" "What about 'em?" "How many?" "Pick a number, dick, like it's up to me!!" Best. exchange. ever.
~ The dance scene lol. So funny.
~ The tag!

What Wasn't So Great
~ Pierce was really annoying in this episode, but that's about it.

Rating
I would give this episode a nine out of ten! Great way to welcome us back to the show!

3x12- Contemporary Impressionists

Episode Rundown- This episode is just hilarious. I laughed from the very beginning to the very end. Abed makes a habit out of hiring a guy (French Stewart) to reenact movie scenes with him, but he hasn't yet paid him for his services. He tells Troy that if he doesn't pay him back, he and his burly friends are going to break Abed's legs. Ouch... So the group dresses up as their celebrity counterparts and attends a bar mitzvah in which Jeff, who's dressed as Ryan Seacrest (oh the irony...), has a difficult time adjusting to praise and flattery considering the pills he's taking. Britta coaches him through this the whole episode and, after he destroys the bar mitzvah and runs from the place, she picks him up on the side of the road and the two have a heart to heart... kind of. Meanwhile, Troy is told that Abed's debts are paid and when he gets home the two have a disagreement about what the other is allowed to do. Uh-oh. Trouble in paradise? The end tag is Chang assembling his army. Meh.

What Was Great
~ Everything! This episode was so freaking hilarious.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nada amigos.

Rating
Another well-deserved ten out of ten!!

More is coming! Stay tuned!

Community Rewatch- 3x07, 3x08, & 3x09

Hello again!! I am on fire, guys!! Look at me go! I've already blazed through six episodes and I'm on to three more! My goal of finishing the whole third season by Wednesday is definitely looking more and more promising! Okay, onward!

3x07- Studies in Modern Movement

Episode Rundown- In this episode, Annie prepares to move out of her shithole apartment and into the apartment Troy and Abed share. She asks the study group to help her move and like the good friends they are, they agree. Except for Jeff, who instead pretends to be direly ill in the hospital- but really goes to the mall. Annie realizes that living with Troy and Abed may be more difficult than she was expecting, considering she'd be the only "adult." Pierce offers to repaint her old apartment and gets high off the paint fumes. Shirley and Britta argue over something and pick up a hitchhiker who sings about Jesus loving marijuana and "drinking human blood." Creepy. And Jeff gets blackmailed into spending his entire mall day with the Dean. All in all, the episode is absolutely hilarious. And the tag involves the "Greendale Parents," Jeff and Britta, sitting through a puppet show their "kids," Annie, Troy, and Abed, put on. Equally hilarious.

What Was Great
~ Definitely everything. I loved every storyline and thought all of the characters were spot on.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing! There wasn't even an appearance by Chang to make this episode even a little unfavorable!

Rating
Ten out of ten, human beings!

3x08- Documentary Filmmaking Redux

Episode Rundown- This episode is also freaking spectacular. Its structure mirrors last season's hospital episode in that its a mockumentary, where Abed is narrating and cuts to the group members explaining things to the camera. Also known as, Lazy Community. =P Anyway, Dean Pelton decides to make a commercial for Greendale since the previous one's so outdated. And thus, he descends into a world of chaos. Jeff gets the role of the Dean in the commercial and wears a bald cap and glasses to make himself look the part. It is, as you might expect, hysterical. Britta and Troy just can't seem to get their onscreen hug right, Pierce wants a trailer, and Shirley is too "Miss Piggy" for TV (Best line? "The word he's looking for is 'sassy.' He better pray he don't find it."). Also, Pierce wants a bigger trailer and gets hauled to L.A. Meanwhile, the Dean burns his degrees and bathes in the ashes and everything is so hilarious. Oh, and Luis Guzman makes an appearance. The tag is Pierce appearing in L.A. and thinking he's still in Colorado. Awkward...

What Was Great
~ Everything. I love these mockumentary episodes and absolutely everyone was hilarious.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing. I mean the tag wasn't spectacular, but it's not a reason not to love the episode.

Rating
Another ten out of ten for Community, ladies and gents!

3x09- Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism

Episode Rundown- This episode is so lovely. I love Jeff and Shirley's friendship and I absolutely love the adventures had by Troy/Annie/Abed. Jeff gets taunted by foosball-playing Germans and vows to get them back in a battle of talents. Shirley's foosball-playing skills are revealed and she coaches Jeff on how to improve his playing techniques. Then, it is also revealed that the person who beat Jeff at foosball so badly as a kid was none other than Shirley herself. Luckily, they're able to overcome their differences and beat the shit out of those Germans. Meanwhile, Abed buys a special edition Batman DVD which Annie steps on and breaks while she's dusting the TV and she and Troy create this elaborate "we were robbed!" storyline so Abed doesn't find out. Eventually he becomes Batman to try and solve the mystery but Annie feels so guilty she tells him the truth. Hilarious. The tag is Leonard reviewing Eugenio's four-cheese pizza on his YouTube account. I love that guy...

What Was Great
~ This may be getting old, but everything. Seriously, this episode is so, so good.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing! Loved every second!

Rating
Another ten out of ten!!

More asap!

Community Rewatch- 3x04, 3x05, & 3x06

Hi there! So you know what would be great? My new goal is to finish the season three rewatch before I go on vacation on Wednesday. Game, set, match. Challenge accepted. Yeah, we can do this. Anyway, onward friends!

3x04- Remedial Chaos Theory

Episode Rundown- This is arguably the best episode not only of the entire season but of the entire show's history. Abed and Troy are throwing themselves a housewarming party and, as usual, things go awry. But they go awry in the most amazing way- in multiple timelines. They set up a game of Yahtzee and order a pizza and when the pizza comes, no one wants to go down and get. So Jeff picks up the die and says, "Starting on left with one, your number comes up, you go." Abed replies, "Just so you know, Jeff, you are now creating six different timelines." And we get to see each different time he creates and how each situation is different depending on who goes down to get the pizza. It's absolute creative genius and so, so hilarious. Then the tag happens to be just as hilarious, showcasing the darkest timeline which includes a dead Pierce, a locked up Annie, a drunken Shirley, a one-armed Jeff, a blue-streak haired Britta, a mechanical-voiced Troy, and Abed who blames himself for all of it. Absolutely hilarious.

What Was Great
~ The entire episode, all seven characters, and everything in between. It's pure perfection.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Nothing. Seriously, nothing.

Rating
A very well-earned ten out of ten. =D

3x05- Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps

Episode Rundown- Halloween part three! In this episode, Britta throws a Halloween pre-party in which she wants to question the group after finding out that one of the members in the study group has homicidal tendencies. At least, that's what the results of her psych evaluation say and though Jeff thinks it's pointless, he goes along with it. Britta begins and tells a "scary story" just to get reactions from the rest of the group. Abed goes after her and introduces "Daybreak" by Michael Haggins, a fantastic addition to Community. Annie then tells a vampire story, Troy tells a story of his and Abed's crazy adventures, Pierce's story gets weird, and Shirley's is, of course, biblical. Suddenly, and for some reason, they all turn on each other until Jeff tells some heartwarming tale about hot chocolate and log cabins. Then it's revealed that Britta entered the tests into the machine the wrong way, so when she reenters them, it turns out that all of them are crazy, except for one. They walk away from the table, deciding not to find out who's the only sane one, but we do. The camera pans back to the tests and says, "Happy Halloween from Annie, Jeff, Britta, Troy, Shirley, Pierce... and Abed." Aw!! Oh, and the tag happens to be Abed and Troy as fighter pilots having ESP.

What Was Great
~ The Beetlejuice Easter egg. So, so perfect.
~ "Trick or Dean!" Dean Pelton, my love for you knows no bounds.
~ The concept of "Britta'ing" things. I still use that term.
~ Britta's story; "I think I just heard something!" "It's just the sound of my heart, baby." "Oh."
~ Abed's story. "Daybreak" never gets old!
~ Annie's story was probably my favorite. I don't know why, but it was just great.
~ Shirley's story was so, so funny.
~ Jeff's story! All peace and love and so not Jeff Winger.
~ The girls in Pierce's story. So funny.
~ Everyone freaking out and thinking one of them was the maniac. Annie's reaction was the best- "Stay back, you psychos, or I'll slit your throats and bathe in your blood!"
~ Abed being the only sane one!!

What Wasn't So Great
~ Pierce's story was so weird...
~ Troy's story was lame.
~ The tag.

3x06- Advanced Gay

Episode Rundown- This episode featured the appearance of Pierce's father, who I personally thought was dead, but after this episode, he is. We learn that Hawthorne Wipes are really big with the gay community and to celebrate this, Pierce decides to throw a gay party with everything rainbow colored. Jeff, who's having some father issues, doesn't really benefit from this random man telling Pierce what he can and can't do and Britta wants to exercise her new psychologist powers and tries to coax some answers and admittances out of him. He refuses her. Anyway, Cornelius Hawthorne tells Pierce to stop with the gay thing and Jeff tells him off. Then Hawthorne Sr. dies. Oops. The groups attends the funeral and Jeff tells Britta she was right about the whole Oedipal Complex thing and that he thinks she'll be a good therapist. Woo! The tag involves Troy and Abed acting out Inspector Spacetime. It's meh...

What Was Great
~ "Pocketful of Hawthornes." So good.
~ "That's not what I meant! Stop putting gay things in my mouth!"
~ "Yes, I'm always nice to the gays! They may live in defiance of God but I'd die before I let a woman touch my hair." Shirley, so priceless.
~ Britta and the "Edible" complex. So funny.
~ "Why is there an astronaut in the corner making paninis?"
~ "Aw! The party's canceled? I bought a coned-bra..." You would, Annie lol.
~  "Britta, you're going to make a terrible therapist. And if you need to talk to someone about that, I don't recommend you." "Hmm, is that how your dad talked to your mom?" "No, that's how he talked to your mom!" "And how does that make you feel?" "Shut up!!"
~ "You know what, Britta was right! You resent my father because you have problems with your own!" "I'm sorry. After you said 'Britta was right' everything else just sounded like a foghorn."
~ "I can't tell where the air ends and my skin begins!"
~ Abed and Troy pretending to be one another. Genius.

What Wasn't So Great
~ Pierce's father. Blegh.
~ The tag was meh.
