Hello again, friends!! On to Community's fantastic third season! So excited! Now the first couple of episodes aren't fantastic, but after the fourth, the season really kicks off! So what are we all waiting for? Let's do it!
3x01- Biology 101
Episode Rundown- The season three premiere is a little spotty. It begins with a fabulous song and dance number in which they promise to be more normal this year. Yeah, somehow I doubt that. Anyway, this cuts to the study room, where Annie's concerned about what they'll do without Pierce and Dean comes with facial hair. They go to Biology class, which Jeff gets kicked out of and Pierce takes his place, and for some reason, Chang is living in the vents with Annie's Boobs. Also, there's a new sheriff in town by the name of Vice Dean Laybourne of the air conditioning repair school and he'll soon play an important role in the show, mainly in Troy's life. Anyway, everyone's having a great time with Pierce and Jeff gets super jealous, so he axes the study room table. Yeah. Guy's got some issues, there. Eventually everyone makes up and Jeff gets back into Biology. Yayyy! The tag is Annie fixing the table and Britta announcing she's now a psych major because she wants to be a therapist. Everyone thinks she'll be bad at it.
What Was Great
~ The opening number, "Finally Be Fine." Hilarious. I was actually crying I was laughing so hard.
~ Everyone thinking Troy and Abed were going to announce they were gay and then being relieved when they said they moved in together. So funny!
~ "If you want to get us a gift, we're registered at Linens N Things." "We have plenty of Linens. We mainly just want the things."
~ The Dean is perfect. "How do you like me now, bitches?" and "Homie don't Dean this!"
~ "Ah Starburns! I see you added a lizard to the hat and sideburns. Am I missing anything?" "Yeah, the human being underneath it all, but no one's really interested in that, are they?" "No..."
~ Jeff and his cell phone- "Jeez, the vibrate's louder than the ringer!" So great.
~ Leonard! <3
~ "Jeff, what happened? You look... seventy."
~ Jeff sprinting in with an axe and everyone running away screaming. Oh man. So hilarious.
What Wasn't So Great
~ Abed's freakouts. They're annoying.
~ Chang, always.
~ Troy going wayyy too far in insulting Britta. And they're supposed to have a romantic thing? Please.
~ That creepy scene where Pierce and Jeff switch bodies and he eats his cell phone and he's in a hospital bed. It's... strange.
~ The tag was boring.
Rating
I would give this episode a seven out of ten. It had its moments, but the show hasn't yet found its groove again yet.
3x02- Geography of Global Conflict
Episode Rundown- This was probably my least favorite episode of the season, for a couple reasons. Annie has an enemy named Annie Kim and decides to one-up this bitch by creating a model UN and gets the entire group involved, sans Britta. Speaking of Britta, she discovers her protesting friend is locked up in Syria and goes on a rampage the entire episode about equal rights for all the countries in the world. Chang somehow gets involved and the two have the creepiest scenes together. Blegh. Jeff praises the shit out of Annie and she responds by throwing a temper tantrum about winning the UN contest thing. She does win, no thanks to her, and Britta crashes in a black unitard with charred Barbie parts attached to her. Chang tases her. And that's pretty much it. Oh, and the tag involves Troy and Abed playing Operation on a sleeping Pierce. So good.
What Was Great
~ "I've got a backpack, new pencils, ooh! And one of those see-through yellow pens that lets you color in words." "Highlight?" "Probably the backpack." So funny!
~ "An Asian Annie- Obama's America." Oh Pierce...
~ Troy, referencing Britta's rant- "Looks like somebody woke up on the regular side of the bed." LOL.
~ Britta- "I haven't been tear-gassed in so long..."
~ Troy removing the lid from Annie's cup so she stops making the annoying straw sound. So, so good.
~ Britta smacking Chang in the face. I wish I could do that...
~ The tag!
What Wasn't So Great
~ The episode in general. Ugh.
~ Too much Chang.
~ Britta's batshit crazy in this episode and her scenes with Chang were skeevy.
~ Jeff/Annie. 'Nuff said.
~ The fart joke. Aren't we too old for this?
Rating
I would give this episode a six out of ten. Definitely my least favorite of the season.
3x03- Competitive Ecology
Episode Rundown- This episode wasn't as bad as the one before it, but it still wasn't my favorite. In Biology, their assignment is to construct a terrarium with wildlife and Professor Kane tells them the person they're seated across from is their partner for the entire semester. They ask him if they can partner up amongst themselves, he okays this, and the groups are Shirley and Britta, Troy and Abed, Jeff and Annie, and Pierce and newcomer Todd. Then, they stay up all night fixing and remixing the groups so that no one has to work with Todd. This culminates in Britta trying to burn their popularity list and instead ends up burning Todd's turtle. He screams at them and leaves and, exhausted because they'd stayed up all night, the group heads to Biology class and fails the assignment, so Annie faints. Then the tag involves Britta giving the group practice evaluations for her psych class. But the answers form penises...
What Was Great
~ The way they all break up with their lab partners- Annie, "It's not you, it's me!" Britta, "I'm just trying to protect us from more pain down the road." Abed, "I may have a developmental disorder." Troy, "I need to catch up on Breaking Bad, so..." Shirley, "I'm so sorryyyyy..." Jeff, "I have a developmental disorder. Star Wars, Star Wars, cool cool cool." and Pierce, "You're also a very weird looking man. I don't know you, I don't trust you, and I don't think I could grow to like you."
~ "Here's Ben with a cupcake! And here he is crying because he dropped his cupcake! And here he is with another cupcake! ... Oh wait, these pictures are out of order. That's the same cupcake." Her delivery of that line is hysterical.
~ "Who the hell are you always texting? Everyone you know is here!!"
~ "You too, Brute?!"
~ "Pierce, wake up! Jeff is gonna heal us!" "Oh! I just had a terrible nightmare that Jeff was a pompous ass!"
~ "What is wrong with you people?! Huh?! I thought you were supposed to be friends!! I thought you were supposed to love each other!! Your love is weird... And toxic! And it destroys everything it touches!!"
~ The tag!
What Wasn't So Great
~ Chang is so freaking annoying.
~ Troy and Britta. Bleh.
~ Todd is irritating, no offense. "None taken!"
~ Annie going out of her way to insult Britta, now. Lame.

I would give this episode a seven out of ten. Again, it had its moments but it wasn't fabulous.
